Privacy, cookies and disclosures
What this site keeps about you, and what it doesn’t.
Short version: the only personal details this site ever holds are the ones you type into a form to reach me, and I use them to answer you. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking across other sites, and nothing is sold or rented to anyone. The long version follows, because you deserve to see it in writing. Effective Nov 4, 2026.
Who runs this site
I’m Jeshua Farmer, a sales consultant at David McDavid Honda of Frisco in Frisco, Texas. This is my own site. It is not the dealership’s website and not American Honda’s, and neither of them operates it or is responsible for it. When this page says “I” or “me,” it means me personally.
What I collect and why
When you send me an estimate, a question or an offer
The forms on the home page ask for your name, a phone number or email, and anything you want to tell me. When you send one, the site also attaches the estimate you built so I can answer with real figures: the model, trim and (if you picked one) the stock number and VIN of the car on the lot, the price it used, your down payment and trade-in figures, the term, the APR you tried, the resulting payment, and for an offer the number you proposed. It records the time you sent it and that you ticked the consent box.
I use all of that for one thing: replying to you about what you asked. If you send an offer, I may show the figures and your first name to my sales manager to get you an answer; your contact details stay with me unless you decide to go ahead with a purchase, at which point the dealership’s own paperwork and privacy practices take over.
Automatically, when you browse
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, its servers keep short-lived technical logs (your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and when) to run and secure the service. I also use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit which pages. It works without cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other sites; I see counts, not people.
If you are on the team and sign in
The private tool behind the Team sign-in link holds the email, name and dealership of each person who asks for access, whether they were approved and by whom, and the usual sign-in records. Approved team members can see the customer requests above in order to help answer them.
Cookies and storage on your device
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and no third party sets any here. What it does use:

You can clear all of it at any time through your browser’s settings (clear site data for hondaguide.com). The site keeps working; you would just re-enter your figures.
Texts, calls and email
When you send a form you tick a box agreeing that I may contact you by call, text or email about your request. That is me, personally, replying to what you asked; it is not an automated marketing program and I do not add you to one. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply to texts. Reply STOP to any text from me and I will stop, or tell me by any channel and I will stop on all of them. Agreeing is not a condition of buying anything.
Who else sees it
- Service providers that store or move the data for me: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (the database and sign-in service, hosted in the United States) and Resend (the service that emails me when a request arrives). They process it on my behalf and under their own security commitments; they are not allowed to use it for themselves.
- The dealership: only as described above, to answer an offer or when you decide to buy. The dealership’s website, which this site links to, has its own privacy policy.
- Nobody else. I do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and I do not share it for anyone’s advertising.
How long I keep it
Requests stay in the private tool while I am helping you and for up to 24 months afterward so I can pick the conversation back up, then I delete them. Hosting logs are kept by Vercel for its standard short period. If you ask me to delete your details sooner, I will, within a few days.
Your choices and your rights
You can ask me at any time to tell you what I hold about you, to correct it, to send you a copy, or to delete it. Just text or call 404-574-3828 or email jfarmer1@mcdavid.com. I answer within 45 days, usually the same day. If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives you those same rights, plus the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of your data and profiling; this site does none of those three. If you ever feel I handled a request wrongly, reply to my answer and say so, and I will review it again and tell you the outcome.
How it is protected
Everything travels over HTTPS. Form submissions go straight into a database that only I and approved team members can read, behind row-level security and a sign-in with admin approval. The site runs with a strict content security policy, so no outside script can run on it. No system is perfect, and if I ever learned that your details had been exposed I would tell you.
Children
This site is for adults shopping for a car. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and I do not knowingly keep details about anyone under 16; if I learn that I have, I delete them.
Disclosures about the figures and about me
- I sell cars for a living at David McDavid Honda of Frisco. I am paid by the dealership when a car is sold. Nothing here is a paid endorsement by Honda or anyone else, and no one pays to be listed.
- Prices on this site are the dealership’s public listings as last read, reported as published. They are not a quote, an offer or a promise, nothing obliges the dealership to honor them, and only a signed buyer’s order sets a price.
- Payment figures are estimates, not offers of credit. 9.99% APR is a starting assumption, not a rate anyone is placed at; a lender sets the real one after reviewing credit. The arithmetic is spelled out on the Texas tax, title and fees page.
- Sending an offer, or me inviting you to come in, is not an acceptance or an agreement to sell at that figure and does not mean the dealership is entertaining it.
- Honda, the model names and the vehicle photographs belong to American Honda Motor Co. and are used to describe the cars. The dealership’s name is used to say where I work.
